Chief Investigator Christopher Stewart, a distinguished law enforcement professional whose journey embodies a commitment to excellence and service. Chief Investigator Stewart embarked on his remarkable career in 2010 with the Montgomery Police Department, where he honed his skills in patrol and the Bike Unit.
Over the course of his career, Chief Investigator Stewart's dedication led him to various agencies before joining the Crenshaw County Sheriff's Office in April 2022 as an investigator. In this role, he not only became an Alabama APOST Certified investigator but also an Alice Instructor and Project Lifesaver Instructor, showcasing his commitment to advancing investigative capabilities.
A true patriot, Chief Investigator Stewart's passion for law enforcement began in the United States Air Force Reserves in 2007. His 11-year tenure included three overseas tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Freedom Sentinel. For his exemplary service, he was awarded two Air Force Achievement Medals and one Air Force Commendation Medal.
In recognition of his exceptional skills and leadership, Chief Investigator Stewart was promoted to the esteemed position of Chief Investigator in August 2023.
