About Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office

Crenshaw County Detention Facility

Established in 1998, the Crenshaw County Detention Facility has been a cornerstone of justice and rehabilitation. With a capacity of over 50 beds, our facility is not just a place of confinement but a center committed to the well-being and security of all individuals under our care.

Our dedicated team includes 9 Correction Officers, 2 Corrections Sergeants, 1 Correction Lieutenant, and 1 Jail Administrator, working diligently to maintain a safe and humane environment. Beyond security, we ensure the physical and mental health of our detainees with the support of a cook and two nurses.

At Crenshaw County Detention Facility, we blend security with care, reflecting our commitment to professionalism, accountability, and the welfare of those entrusted to us.

Jail Administrator Captain Angel Hebert

Captain Angel Hebert began her journey in Corrections in November 2015 as a Correction Officer. Fueled by unwavering dedication and a strong work ethic, Captain Hebert swiftly ascended through the ranks, marking her as a standout professional in the field.

In June 2022, Captain Hebert's exceptional leadership qualities were officially recognized, and she assumed the crucial role of Jail Administrator. Her commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment has been instrumental in upholding the standards of the Crenshaw County Detention Facility.

Beyond her role as Jail Administrator, Captain Hebert takes on the responsibility of serving as the Sex Offender Compliance Officer.
